Who I am

 I graduated college with a BS in Anthropology and an MA in English. Clearly, I went to school for love, not money. Since graduating, I've managed to accumulate fifteen years of teaching, writing, and consulting experience, raise a family, homeschool two kids for five years, and sleep occasionally. From basic skills to board rooms and blog posts, I can handle just about any writing project you have.

For just a few months shy of twenty years, I toiled in kitchens and dining rooms to provide tasty bites and refreshing beverages to devoted patrons and event attendants. I have sweaty, hazy memories of things that would do Anthony Bourdain proud and a few scars, both physical and emotional. Through it all I learned how to work hard, think on my feet, be flexible in the moment but rigid in my goals and standards, and appreciate the value and complexity of anything-but-simple pleasures.
